Choo Choo!!!

Are we a train family now!? Last weekend in Denver was an absolute blasttttt. Not only did I get to bust out my winter clothes I also got to spend time with the fam LOL okay okay hanging with the fam was actually the best part BUT my outfit for the mountain was #fire

the Rengstorf’s aren’t really winter sports people so naturally tubing was the perfect fit for us. It was equal parts thrill and fun. The tubes went MUCH faster than I had planned for and going backwards down the chute had me very happy I have my will in order #adulting. nonetheless my cheeks hurt from smiling and laughing so much. also I cannot imagine not having a conveyer belt taking me back up after every run. That was SUCH a lovely touch.

Getting back to the train…10/10 recommend taking the winter express from Denver union station to winter park. It made our day on the mountain THAT much easier and more relaxing. No need to deal with a car rental, traffic or the stress of driving in the elements. Mind you there is only one departure and one return but it allowed for an entire day in the snow. We left at 7am and got back to downtown around 8:30pm.

Admittedly I don’t know how much the tickets cost because daddy warbucks picked that up (thanks dad!!!!) but we all agreed it was well worth it. They had a car specifically for snowboards and Skis, an observation deck AND a bar car. Naturally we visited that on the ride back and let me just say it didn’t disappoint.
