FREE BAMBI!

Now this is a story all about how my purse got lost and then got found…(if you read that to the tune of the fresh prince I LOVE YOU).

Pre-covid I would have considered myself a big handbag girlie. I always had a short list of designer bags that I had my eye on. I even had a separate savings account where I would put coins in every month to make those purchases happen.

Fast forward to now/the last few years and we all can find ourselves in the DUPE ERA. This may be controversial but all these dupes have really killed the game for me. If you haven’t figured this out by now I don’t really like having what everyone else has. Idk where this stemmed from but I really do like doing my own thing, having my own unique sense of style…ALL of the above.

ALSO as someone who purchased a fair share of designer bags before this era and in this current era of inflation I can also tell you these bags are NOT worth the prices. Seeing a YSL camera bag go for DOUBLE the price I paid makes me both sick AND thankful I had the funds to buy when I did.

All this to say it has been a HOT minute since a handbag really took my breathe away.

At the end of January I came across a pin on Pinterest that changed my life. Okay maybe I’m a bit dramatic but it stopped me dead in my tracks. I immediately sent pics to my girlfriends and I even remember talking to crab about it that night on the phone.

Handmade, genuine leather, cowhide, made to order AND is a small business. Best believe any other designer would charge THOUSANDS for this same bag.

Now before anyone’s ATS me…yes this is a birkin SHAPE…but in no way would Hermes ever do a cowhide BAMBI bag. Anyone with a brain will know this isn’t Hermes …BECAUSE IT IS SO MUCH BETTER AND COOLER. This brand is also ONLY based out of the UK so the chances of me ever running into someone with this bag in the states is #slim which in MADY terms means #addtocart

after 5 months of waiting, UPS chaos, customs issues, and MANY MANY voice memos and group chat texts about BAMBI she finally arrived.

I also just want to S/O the bandlands studio Customer service team because my god they were angels. I was basically a polite gnat and they never shoed me away. They even added a Bambi belt and a twilly into my final box which was SO amazing and thoughtful.

BAMBI is everything I could have wanted and more. I know I got her for a new work bag but she may have to come with me as my carryon for my next trip. She deserves to be seen.
