Kermit Casa: We’re Under Contract!!!
Y’all it’s been a damn rollercoaster of a week. This time last week my jaw was sore from anxiety. Yes…I can’t even make this up. I’ve been so anxious about this house journey I could barely sleep and my bodies natural response, I guess, was to clench my teeth allllll night long.
Fast forward to this past Wednesday when lacey and I did another walkthrough at what I’m calling Kermit casa (it’s green and well I’m a big of fan of Kermit #IYKYK ). We just wanted to make sure everything actually got completed before we put in an offer. They had definitely added in some additional staging elements since we were there last weekend but one in particular caught my eye and that’s when I KNEWWWW the stars were aligning.
Feast your eyes on the GLUTEN FREE BIBLE!! I mean you’ve got to be kidding me?!!!!! I’d say the rest is history but the anxiety rollercoaster continued back and forth 4 times to be exact. This shit isn’t for the faint of heart!! BUTTTT we are officially under contract #LFG
Now we’ve still got to make it through inspection this next week and closing in a few more but I still think this is worth celebrating. It’s a big freaking deal. Josh and I are going to be LIVING together LOL I’m so excited I literally want to explode.
Naturally, I’m in full fledge design mode. I’ve had a Pinterest board going for over 6months now. Are you surprised? This house is absolutely going to be the coolest on the block and I’m very confident in that. I’m more than ready to give Kermit casa the personality it deserves…whether josh is fully on board yet or not.
But more than anything, I want this home to become a collection of everything we love. Places we’ve been, memories we’ve collected, colors that make us (me lolol) happy. I want it to be the kind of place where our friends and family actually look forward to checking in…and maybe stay a little longer than they planned :)
Yes there are still inspections, general admin and approximately 400 more opportunities for me to spiral between now and getting the keys, so I know we aren’t at the finish line yet. BUT I’m trying to get better at celebrating the moments while I’m actually living them instead of immediately looking toward whatever comes next.
And this one?
This one ABSOLUTELY deserves a fucking Kermit gif.
